Climate Revolution in Technology: A New Era for Sustainable Architecture

Technology continues to surprise us, and the latest innovation in the field of sustainability is a shining example of this. Just two months ago, a new feature was introduced in ChatGPT, allowing the inclusion and analysis of detailed climate data.

Now, we can access .epw files from any weather station or airport in the world, providing valuable information such as radiation, wind, precipitation, humidity, and temperatures.

These historical climate data allow us not only to better understand the local climate but also to interact with ChatGPT to develop more efficient and climate-adapted strategies for our architectural projects.

Depending on the region, this may mean the need for more shading, ventilation, or even adjustments to internal thermal gain in buildings.

This integration of climate data with artificial intelligence puts us on the brink of a revolution in how we design and build. In the future, we may have even more interactive conversations with ChatGPT, discussing project specifics such as openings and building materials tailored to the local climate.

We are moving toward a future where technology not only informs but also actively shapes our architectural projects, leading to more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally aligned buildings.

In our recent workshop, we presented some of these possibilities, and this is certainly an exciting time for all of us interested in technology and sustainability!

Reflection: Building a Fairer and More Harmonious World

Recently, while working in my apartment, I experienced something that left me deeply reflective. After a tiring day, I ordered food and was served by a bicycle delivery person with a cast on his arm.

Curious, I asked what had happened, and he told me he had been hit by a car, and the driver had fled. When I asked if the delivery app offered any support or compensation, he laughed and said the only ‘help’ available was letting him stop working without pay.

This interaction made me reflect on how our current system works. Everyone seeks greater profit margins – apps, restaurants, workers – but often, crucial aspects like the well-being and safety of workers are squeezed to their limits.

This led me to question: What can we do to improve the lives of people around us? How can we create a fairer and more harmonious coexistence, not only in this matter but in all facets of our society?

This is not just a reflection on an isolated incident but a provocation to think about the work we do and the world we live in. How can we make a difference? How can we transform our workplaces and communities for the better?

I invite each of you to share your ideas and thoughts. If you have suggestions or stories about how we can build a fairer and more sustainable world, please email us. Your voices are important, and together, we can explore paths to a better future.

Announcing Green Interiors Day in São Paulo, Brazil, and Milan, Italy

We are thrilled to announce two amazing events that will kick off this year: Green Interiors Day in São Paulo on March 18 and in Milan on April 15.

Green Interiors Day São Paulo

Following the success of the Green Building Day last November, which brought together 300 participants and sold out within weeks, we are ready to take a step further with Green Interiors Day São Paulo.

This event represents a new chapter in our sustainability journey. It will be bigger and even more impactful, taking place one day before Expo Revestir.

One of the event’s main goals is to empower participants with in-depth knowledge about sustainable materials. We want everyone to have the ability to critically analyze sustainability labels, manufacturing processes, and material ingredients.

By attending Green Interiors Day, architects and sustainability enthusiasts will be equipped with crucial information to make more informed and assertive decisions.

When they arrive at Expo Revestir, they will have a holistic view of materials, setting them apart from ordinary individuals who focus only on aspects such as form, function, beauty, and durability.

Our mission is to enrich the participants’ experience, making Green Interiors Day São Paulo not just an event but a turning point in their approach to sustainability in architecture and design.

Green Interiors Day Milan

In addition to our São Paulo event, we are equally excited about Green Interiors Day in Milan, scheduled for April 15. This event shares the same mission as its counterpart in São Paulo but with a special focus on the prestigious Salone del Mobile, taking place in Italy.

Just like in São Paulo, Green Interiors Day in Milan aims to bring together professionals and sustainability enthusiasts to prepare them with relevant strategies and knowledge considering the entire scale of this fair, one of the largest in the world in the field of interior architecture.

This is a unique opportunity for participants to absorb valuable and applicable information, helping them have a richer and more informed experience at the Salone and adapting it to their own professional reality.

See you tomorrow!
